How we get through stressful days

The day is over before it even begins because there is so much on the to-do list? Everyday life is sometimes simply overwhelming, emotionally or physically demanding. We often rush through each week without realizing what we have actually done for ourselves. When was the last time you sat down and thought quietly about yourself? What keeps you busy, makes you happy or interests you? When was the last time you listened to your inner self and asked yourself what it actually looks like inside? Or just took a breather?

I definitely do it far too rarely and I know how good it is for me. However, I am not a professional when it comes to meditation. I won't be able to give you great instructions for perfect meditation here. But some food for thought to do it again. You can find numerous meditations online that accompany you with relaxing music and instructions. If all this is too much for you, you can simply treat yourself to 15 minutes of peace, sit in a quiet place, turn on some relaxing music and concentrate on breathing regularly.

You can either just breathe through your nose to get your heart rate down, or you can breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Then you just relax. And no, don't think about what laundry still needs to be done and don't create a to-do list in your head for the next few days. This is all about you and your inner peace. The biggest challenge is to ignore your thoughts and stay in the here and now. Don't worry if that doesn't work right away. Meditating is not easy, especially when we tend to rush through our everyday lives. It helps me to do a guided meditation and listen to a voice. I then concentrate exclusively on the voice and try not to let my thoughts get involved. Of course, this doesn't always work, but every second and every minute that it works to turn off your head is a great experience of success.

Meditation or not: Breathing in and out, that's the most important thing and remembering that we too can be our first priority.
