Homemade oven fries with grainy cream cheese

Don't feel like cooking or don't have the time? No problem!

Suddenly it's already 6 p.m., nothing has been prepared yet and actually so many things still need to be done. If you want to feel like someone else is cooking for you, there are potatoes in the oven! The advantage of this is that you put the potatoes in the oven and they cook all by themselves. During this time, the laundry can be hung up, vacuumed and tidied up in peace and quiet. Or you can simply take a few quiet minutes for yourself.

For the perfect baked potatoes you just need the right potatoes and then the meal is a feast. It's best to buy potatoes that are also suitable for fries.

To do this, wash your potatoes and peel them where necessary. I prefer to leave the shell on. Then you cut the potatoes into sticks. I'm always unsure whether I should cut them like fries or wedges and then I often decide on a mix of the two. Then some are a little crispier and others are even softer. Now you can spread your potatoes on the baking tray, drizzle with a little oil and rub with pepper, salt, paprika spice and Herbes de Provence. The whole thing now goes into the oven at 200 degrees until the potatoes are nice and crispy. This usually takes around 30 minutes.

In the meantime, you can put the grainy cream cheese in a bowl and season with pepper and herb salt. We are currently a big fan of the Japanese Sriracha sauce. So if you want, you can add a little to the cream cheese and mix it all together.

Meanwhile you can do whatever you want. The food practically cooks itself. If you would like to add a few more vegetables, you can either prepare a salad or add additional baked vegetables to the potatoes. After half an hour the food is ready.

I wish you a good appetite!
