After graduating, he began his career at the prestigious Italian leather goods brand Fedon 1919 in Hong Kong. There he was heavily involved in product design and product development for the Asia region and designed bags, accessories and even collections for the official Apple Store in the Asia-Pacific region. After his time with Fedon in 1919, Jay Pong decided to continue his career in Berlin. He completed training at the Anke Runge Berlin leather goods studio and learned how to design and produce high-quality leather goods from scratch. This experience helped him create his own brand, Mr. PONG Berlin. Mr. PONG was launched in 2015.
