LORENA CANALS FROM SPAIN

Creativity with a sense of practicality: Founder Lorena Canals and her team stand for sustainable and innovative products. They attach great importance to details, quality and originality, which is reflected in the new collections released every year.

It all started in 1998 when Lorena watched her daughters playing on a carpet and wondered if it wouldn't be easier to wash it at home. So the idea was born and she started designing a rug in her garage that would be perfect for a home with children. Lorena Canals is now represented in over 70 countries around the world. Lorena founded her own handicraft factory in India and offices in Barcelona, New Delhi and New York.

Over 170 people work in Lorena Canal's factory in northern India. Every carpet, every cushion, every basket is made entirely by hand: the cotton is harvested, processed, dyed, washed, the final product is woven, the pile is cut and packaged. There is no second product from Lorena Canals in the world! By the way, this is the reason why you can discover small differences when buying 2 carpets and why the colors can sometimes differ. A handmade production is unique and original. Incidentally, carpet production in India is an old tradition; to this day, carpet production is carried out using the tried and tested techniques of our ancestors.

Lorena Canals ensures fair working conditions in its factories and strictly adheres to international standards for product safety. There are internal tests and inspections that ensure continuous, high quality and the use of the best natural materials. In addition, the products are regularly tested in independent, renowned laboratories. Lorena Canals travels to India several times a year to check new collections, accept them and accompany the production of the latest products.
